Inner city laneways offer surprises around every corner. Unlock the secrets of The Crossing. Here you'll find high end fashion mixed with well-loved favourites combined with great places to grab a bite. The discovery of Cashel Square within the BNZ Centre will be sure to put a smile on your face. The light, airy and colourful square and laneways uncover delicious eateries and one of a kind shops that will no doubt become regular haunts.

The SALT district is a must for avid shoppers. This area of the city represents a gritty, character-filled pocket where historic architecture meets modern. It is also home to exclusive and well-loved New Zealand fashion labels as well as sustainable shopping options.

Christchurch institution, 'Ballantynes' department store is also one for the list. Ballantynes offers everything from homewares, pantry goodies to cosmetics, local fashion and top international brands. Friday's at Ballantynes are always delicious with market day taking place in the pantry area.

Northlands Shopping Centre

Northlands Shopping Centre has a fantastic range of shops, 2 food courts and a cinema. For those taking a road trip north to Kaikoura or Hanmer Springs, it's a great location to stock up on groceries with 2 large supermarkets and ample parking.
