Leighs Construction

Leighs Construction is a national New Zealand construction company established in 1992, focusing on complex large-scale projects. The company is known as a pioneer within the New Zealand construction industry, with a record of delivering difficult projects in unique environments in New Zealand and internationally. Most of our projects are in the Government sector.

In 2004 Leighs was the first private organisation to build in Antarctica for the NZ Government, and subsequently we have delivered multiple seasons of construction at Scott Base, which has equated to over 50% of the floor area in the existing facilities. In June 2020 Leighs was selected as the preferred main contractor for the Scott Base redevelopment project.
