Barking Mad Polar & Mountain Books

Colin Monteath has had 32 seasons working in Antarctica for NZ Antarctic programme & as a photographer and guide. As well as selling polar imagery to publishers, art prints etc Colin now runs Barking Mad Books, specialist bookshop in Cashmere for new & 2nd hand & antiquarian polar & mountain books.

For the past 30 years, Colin Monteath has encouraged Antarctic students, researchers and writers to come and use the main reference library of both Antarctic and Arctic books, maps, photos and archive material.
