There are bakeries, and then there is Bohemian Bakery. So popular that they now have four locations around Ōtautahi, this is the place to find freshly baked treats. Everything is prepared from scratch, from almond croissants and pain au chocolat to creamy chicken pies and pork sausage rolls. Order a coffee and enjoy in the café or take with you to eat on the go. The city location also has a brunch menu on Fridays and Saturdays.

Child Sister

This café is a favourite amongst locals, known for its serene space, fabulous coffee and unique and delicious menu. With breakfast classics such as eggs benedict and French toast, as well as Korean inspired items included kimchi grilled cheese and gochujang shakshuka, expect a flavourful experience!

An indoor market set in the centre of the city, Riverside Market is one of Ōtautahi’s most loved foodie spots. For an easy lunch on the go, choose from loaded salad bowls from Herba Gourmet or fresh sandwiches from Bellbird Bakery. If the sun is shining, park up at one of the outdoor tables and dig into souvlakis from Dimitris Greek Food or a flavourful curry from Dosa Kitchen.
