Methven Heliskiing is based in the remote headwaters of the Rakaia River, our terrain incorporates 3 mountain ranges and more than 250 named runs. We have runs to suit all abilities from beginner to expert. The standard "Perfect" heliski day includes 5 runs, and return transport to the helipad from Methven. The helipad is based at Glenfalloch Station, a working high country sheep station. The scenery here is stunning, featuring glaciers and dramatic peaks, with incredible views down the Main Divide to Aoraki/Mount Cook. All our guides are internationally qualified professionals. The chance to enjoy part of a working day on a New Zealand intergenerational family sheep farming operation in the Lake Coleridge area, one hour's drive west of Christchurch. On arrival, guests are welcomed by the family and taken on a coach or 4 wheel drive tour out onto the property where high country farming activities are viewed and explained, there is the opportunity to be amongst large flocks of sheep and view working dogs in action.
