Demonstrates Unique Ecosystem In Canterbury
Canterbury is New Zealand’s largest agricultural region, contributing one-fifth of the national agricultural GDP. The region produces meat and dairy products, plant-based products, seafood and wine for both domestic and international consumers.
With input from industry, ChristchurchNZ has compiled this map of the Food, Fibre and Agritech space to visually demonstrate the unique depth and the capability of the ecosystem here in Canterbury.
This Map Aims To Achieve Three Things
- Promote the strength of Canterbury’s food and fibre innovation ecosystem, within the region and nationwide.
- Aids in the recruitment of individuals, start-ups or businesses to Canterbury – for career opportunities alongside ideas and business support perspective.
- Connects. This map is a tool to encourage connection across different organisations, groups and individuals within the ecosystem – ultimately referring enquiries to each other to ensure seamless support across the ecosystem.
