Get ready for an unforgettable run! Whether you’re chasing a PB or keen to soak up the views, Run Akaroa is ready to deliver a one-of-a-kind race experience.

Event details

With 10km, half marathon and full marathon distances, as well as a kids 1km dash, each course promises stunning views.

Hugging the rim of an ancient volcano, with sparkling Akaroa Harbour on one side and the South Pacific on the other, runners and walkers can conquer this iconic road by foot.

Make a weekend of it by staying in beautiful Akaroa, or base yourself in Christchurch and take advantage of chartered buses running on race day from the central bus exchange direct to the start line.

This inaugural event is a must do.
