Celebrate Matariki with Raranga Workshops at The Palms.
Led by Whiritahi, a local collective of wāhine Māori artists, these hands-on workshops invite children and adults alike to explore the art of traditional harakeke weaving.
Create your own ika (fish) or whetū (star) while learning about the tikanga and cultural significance behind this treasured practice.
Connect, create, and celebrate Matariki together.
Ika workshops:
10am - 10.45am session times each day. Suitable for children 4+ years. Younger children welcome, but will need adult assistance (accompanying adults do not need a ticket).
Whetū workshops:

All workshops are held next to Hallensteins at The Palms.
