Established in 2005, RD Petroleum is a joint venture between BP Oil New Zealand Limited and Dunedin based Wilson Holdings Limited . RD Petroleum markets and distributes bulk fuel, lubricants and petroleum products, specialising in the fuel supply to Commercial, Rural, Aviation and Residential sectors. Being in partnership with an Oil company in New Zealand this gives us a strategic advantage in the marketplace in regard to certainty of fuel supply as well as backup if there are fuel shortages. With a fleet of 50 tankers based in Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill, RD Petroleum is well resourced to provide a high level of fuel sales and distribution in the South Island, we currently distribute in the vicinity of 500 million litres of Ground, Air and Marine fuels throughout the South Island. RD Petroleum Aviation division is CAA Part 19F certified and operates throughout New Zealand providing innovative storage and bulk supply solutions to the General Aviation market.
