Lincoln University (AERU)

The AERU is a research centre at Lincoln University established by Cabinet Committee in 1962. AERU’s research focuses on applied economics and has undertaken regular studies in 2007, 2013, 2016 and 2018 on the benefits of Antarctica activities to Christchurch, Canterbury and New Zealand economies. These studies have also included the opportunities for Christchurch business in supporting the activities associated with Antarctica. Please refer to the 2013 study link from parliament site.
