Christchurch Cathedral has had a long association of support of the Antarctic Programme.
This includes offering an annual service to give thanks for those who give their lives to science and exploration in Antarctica and to pray for God’s blessing and protection for them.
The Cathedral is also the custodian of the Erebus Chalice used at the Chapel of the Snows at McMurdo.
