Underwater Wonderland

Explore the mysteries of the deep blue without getting your feet wet! Join us for a morning learning about our ātaahua moana (beautiful ocean) as we journey from the rocky shores to the deep ocean trenches.

This year, our annual winter school holiday event celebrates the Underwater Wonderland. Led by the creative students from Lincoln High School Sustainability Council, children will discover the incredible marine life that calls our oceans home - from majestic whales to the tiny creatures found in our rocky shores.

Fun Activities Include:

Hands-on craft stations to help you discover the creatures and plants of our shorelines.

Build your own Marine Dioramas.

Engaging experiments at our ocean science stations.

The Tunnel - a favourite for younger explorers to crawl through our "water world."

Booking required; one ticket covers up to 4 people, including caregivers

Children’s University: We are a verified learning destination - bring your passports for a stamp!

Caregiver required: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is designed and run by Lincoln High School Sustainability Council. The students have organised over 10 activities, finding as much joy in mentoring as the younger children do in learning. It is a great way for our local rangatahi to share their passion for the environment with the next generation. We are also thrilled to welcome a guest from Lincoln University, who will lead a hands-on activity investigating how land and soil health protects our moana. You’ll learn how we can all look after our precious moana, so come and make a splash with us!
