St Michael and All Angels church is pleased to be able to once again be part of the Heritage Festival in 2026. The site has offered worship and education for 175 years. 

Over seven open days our knowledgeable people will focus on particular aspects of our continuous presence, our history and legacy in this place since 1851. 

Each day will focus on a particular aspect of the history of St Michael's:

  • Friday 16th October: The founding of St Michaels 1851-2026 with Johnann Williams
  • Saturday 17th October: Our treasures and taonga with Fr Peter Williams
  • Tuesday 20th October: Our stunning stained-glass windows with Robert Maclagan
  • Wednesday 21st October: Our music: the restored pipe organ with Daniel Cooper
  • Friday 23rd October: Our bell and its belfry with Johnann Williams
  • Saturday 24th October: Our timber Gothic church building
  • Monday 26th October: Some of our remarkable parishioners
