New Brighton Gardens Open Day

Join us for our Annual Open Day and discover the magic of New Brighton Community Gardens! There's something for everyone at our biggest event of the year.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or just getting started, you'll find a huge range of seedlings ready for your summer garden. From herbs, lettuces and chillies to 40 different varieties of tomatoes (just $3.50 each), plus plenty of other vegetable favourites, it's the perfect chance to stock up.

Bring the kids along for fun activities while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There'll be live music throughout the day, delicious sausages, Devonshire teas, whitebait patties and, of course, our legendary lentil patties.

Don't forget to browse our popular homemade goodies, including marmalade, chutneys, pickles, plum sauce, jams and our beautiful handmade calendula products. They're perfect as gifts or a treat for yourself.

Our Annual Open Day is also our biggest fundraiser of the year. Every seedling you buy, every bite you enjoy and every purchase you make helps support the Gardens and the work we do throughout the year. Every dollar stays right here, helping us continue to provide education programmes, grow food, care for our volunteers and keep this special community space thriving.
