Ken Hall is a curator at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū working across historical and contemporary art. Raised in Ōtautahi Christchurch, he has a background as an artist and designer, and has lived and worked across four continents. From his home near Matuku-takotako Sumner Beach, he keeps an eye on the birdlife along the coast, including kōtare, kōtuku, poaka, tōrea, kōtuku ngutupapa and kuaka. He has been working on Bird Land: Te Kāhui Manu for longer than he cares to admit.
