Swim in the wild alongside the endangered Hector's dolphin, the world's smallest & rarest dolphin, found only in New Zealand waters. Intimate tours with max 12 people. Guided by Department of Conservation approved practices & an expert crew trained in marine education, ensuring this rare encounter happens on the dolphins' terms, with minimal impact on their environment. Hector's dolphins are one of the world's rarest and smallest dolphins. Our skippers and nature guides are experienced at finding pods of Hector’s dolphins and enjoy a high success rate. We do fully respect natural behaviours of wildlife; in the unlikely event you don’t get to see any dolphins you’ll receive a complimentary ticket for our twice-daily Akaroa Nature Cruise to join us another day.
