Discover the highlights of Godley Head on a half-day guided coastal walk just 30 minutes from Christchurch. After hotel pick-up, travel with your local guide to the start of the track. Walk approximately 4 km along dramatic coastal cliffs, with views across the Pacific Ocean, Pegasus Bay and Lyttelton Harbour. Explore restored WWII gun emplacements and Scott’s Cabin while looking out for seals, dolphins and native birdlife. With around 2.5 hours of walking, 185 m of elevation gain, a relaxed small-group pace and morning or afternoon departures, it’s ideal for visitors short on time wanting a relaxed and scenic walk.

For direct bookings of 1–4 guests, cancellations made at least 48 hours before departure receive a full refund. For bookings of 5+ guests, at least 7 days’ notice is required. Later cancellations are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed. Date changes may be possible subject to availability. Exceptional circumstances may be considered individually. Different terms may apply to private, trade or third-party bookings.
