Discover hidden gems and top tips based on local knowledge. We will give you the inside story on Christchurch's history and culture, as well as major events and the post-earthquake rebuild. Walk Christchurch is one of the city's top visitor experiences, operated by a not-for-profit organisation and run by a group of local volunteer walking guides who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and experienced.
Duration: 2 - 2.5 hours.
Our small groups, fewer than 10 walkers, ensure a personalised experience.
Walks can be booked online or in person at The Arts Centre’s Clock Tower, 2 Worcester Boulevard.
1 June – 31 August: book online by 6pm on the evening before the walk. No walk-ups.
1 September – 31 May: book online to secure your spot. Walk-ups may be possible, subject to availability.
In very adverse weather, a walk may be cancelled for safety reasons and a refund given.
