Travel one of the world's great rail journeys on a small-group day tour from Christchurch, capped at eight guests. Your guide collects you from your hotel and sees you aboard the famous TranzAlpine train, where panoramic carriages and an open-air viewing deck reveal braided rivers, gorges, beech forest and snow-capped peaks. At Arthur's Pass you re join your guide for a gentle walk, then return to Christchurch by a scenic road route with photo stops at Castle Hill and the Otira Viaduct, so you see the mountains from rail and road. A cafe lunch is included. Includes complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off, one-way TranzAlpine travel and an expert guide. Maximum eight guests.

Cancellation Policy
For day tours, cancellations with more than 7 days' notice are fully refundable. Cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours before departure incur a 50% fee; within 48 hours they are non-refundable. If we cancel for weather or operational reasons you receive a full refund or a free reschedule. We recommend travel insurance for all guests.
