Lincoln University is the Southern Hemisphere’s oldest land-based university. From Agribusiness to Landscape Architecture, Viticulture and Oenology to Tourism, Lincoln offers a wide range of degrees that are relevant for today and designed for the future.
Our graduate employment rate is 83%, and employers both in New Zealand and overseas recognise the quality of Lincoln graduates. A degree from Lincoln can open doors, build valuable industry connections, and help you get your career moving faster.
We’re New Zealand’s smallest university, so you can enjoy a more personal learning environment, with greater opportunities for face-to-face contact with lecturers. Lincoln’s village atmosphere also creates a strong sense of community and encourages collaboration among students. Our staff pride themselves on being approachable and available to students, with an open-door culture that provides support throughout your studies.
Lincoln is also recognised for the quality and impact of its research. Our academics work across areas that address real-world challenges, with a strong focus on land, food, sustainability, business and the environment.
Our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme also provides students with the English language and academic skills needed to prepare for university study at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
For students who are not yet ready to enter a bachelor’s degree directly, we also offer pre-degree pathway programmes. These programmes provide high school graduates with an alternative pathway into university study and help students build the academic knowledge needed to progress into a Bachelor degree.
We also offer scholarships for international students, including scholarships of up to NZ$10,000 for undergraduate study and up to NZ$15,000 for eligible taught master’s programmes.
We offer dedicated support for international students on campus. Our International Office can assist with programme and course advice, applications and enrolment, while our International Student Advisors can support students with a wide range of personal, social, cultural, legal or financial matters.
