Tuia - Burnside Primary School

International students and their families are very welcome at our school. Our school grounds are large with big areas of grass and playground equipment to play on. Participation in all school activities is encouraged with many opportunities for children to get involved in – singing, learning music, playing sport and joining in Kapa Haka.

Children are placed in classes with their age group and enjoy a variety of activities. We are an enviro-school and participate in the Garden to Table programme plus many other events during the year. 

Our school is next door to Cobham Intermediate and not far from Burnside High School. We are close to the city centre and all that Christchurch has to offer International students and their families. 

International students receive extra English classes and support to settle into life in Christchurch.
