Christchurch North College provides a safe, inclusive and personalised learning environment for students who have found traditional education challenging.
Our smaller size allows students to build meaningful relationships with teachers and staff while learning at a pace and in ways that support their individual strengths and goals.

Our approach combines academic learning with intensive wraparound pastoral care. Students have access to personalised programmes, wellbeing support, literacy and ESOL programmes, and guidance that supports their academic, social and personal development.
We focus on building confidence, resilience, self-esteem and motivation alongside academic achievement.

International students are fully integrated into school life and become part of our wider school community. They have opportunities to learn alongside New Zealand students, experience New Zealand culture and develop friendships while receiving the individual support they need to feel comfortable and confident.

Learning at CNC extends beyond the classroom. Students have opportunities to take part in practical subjects including Food Technology, art, music and creative learning, as well as sport and outdoor education.
Hiking, orienteering and bushcraft provide opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills while experiencing the outdoors.

With school-approved homestay accommodation and dedicated international student support, CNC provides a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, socially and personally.
