Zonta Yellow Rose Run/walk for Foster Hope

The four Zonta Clubs of Christchurch are pleased to be holding the sixth Zonta Rose run/walk. This year it is for our Zonta New Zealand voted charity, Foster Hope. Foster Hope provides vital support services and essential items to children in care across New Zealand, ensuring they feel valued and supported during a challenging time. Each year, Foster Hope helps over 5,000 children, providing them with backpacks filled with necessities such as toiletries, books, and soft toys to ease their transition into new care environments. We are helping 400 of their girls aged 8 to 12 with educational health books, and backpack gear. Zonta is about building a Better World for Women and Girls, locally, nationally and internationally. 

Many children arrive at their new placements with little more than the clothes on their backs. Foster Hope aims to change this by supplying them with backpacks that not only meet their immediate needs but also provide comfort and a sense of belonging. Foster Hope's vision is to ensure that every child in care knows their community cares about them. By providing essential items and support, they aim to foster hope and promote positive outcomes for these children and their caregivers.

RUN FOR THEM, RUN FOR YOU! Can’t make it on the day? Do a virtual run/walk around NZ, around the World.

We understand that some of you may not be able to make it to Christchurch on the day, however we know you’d love to participate in this run/walk fundraiser. Get your friends together and register $20 pp and go for a 5km walk or 5km/10km run in your town or city so you don’t miss out on a fun day.
