Travis Wetland Whānau Hīkoi 2026

Join us for the Travis Wetland Whānau Hīkoi at the 2025 Christchurch Walking Festival! Experience a lovely stroll through the tranquil setting of Travis Wetland. We’ll gather at the Information Kiosk at 11 AM for a leisurely 3.4 km return walk, suitable for all ages and abilities.

During our hikoi, we’ll explore the whakapapa of the area and discuss the significance of the wetlands for mana whenua, enhancing our connection to this important landscape.

Please remember that to protect the wildlife, bikes, scooters, skateboards, and dogs are not permitted in the area. After the hikoi, enjoy a complimentary kai and an Easter Hunt for tamariki! Spaces are limited, so be sure to register and secure your spot for this community event. Let’s come together to celebrate the beauty of our city and its heritage!
