The BIG Sheep Trail

Get ready to find the flock as Ōtautahi Christchurch’s most baa-rilliant art adventure comes to town. Ewe-niquely designed Shaun the Sheep sculptures will transform our streets, parks and public spaces into a vibrant, open-air gallery.

Thirty Big Shauns will be brought to life by talented local artists and sponsored by local businesses, while at least 30 Little Shauns, decorated by schoolchildren and community groups, will join the flock, bringing creativity, colour and a little mischief to the city. Gather your whānau, friends and colleagues and set out on an un-baa-lievable trail of discovery, exploring the city in a whole new way and connecting art with heart.

But this trail is more than woolly good fun. Once the trail is done, each Big Shaun will be sold at a Gala Auction, with proceeds supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christchurch and helping to create life-changing mentoring friendsheeps for local tamariki and rangatahi.
