St Davids Church makes an important contribution to the identity and history of the region. Information on the history of the church, built in 1903, and its refurbishment will be shared.
St Davids Church is a unique example of Samuel Hurst Seager's Gothic Revival architectural style with a strong Arts and Craft aesthetic expressed in many external elements, such as the low board and batten clad walls, fair-faced concrete lower walls/buttresses, exposed eaves and exposed timber struts.
The church, built as a memorial to the early settlers of Belfast, is steeped in history. Much can be learnt from the hard work and sacrifices made by so many over the decades to retain what it is today – a beautiful building and place of worship.
We look forward to welcoming you to this special place.
