Our city of Ōtautahi Christchurch was the home of Kate Sheppard and this 'herstory' cycle tour follows the wheel tracks of New Zealand's most famous suffragist, Kate Sheppard. This tour will take you past sites where she fought and rallied to bring voting equality to women in 1893— giving NZ boasting rights for being the first country in the world to do so!
The cycle tour ends with a Victorian-style morning tea back in the Camellia room in Kate Sheppard's former home.
Entry to explore the house museum where Sheppard organised the historic New Zealand Women’s Suffrage Petition, is included in your ticket!
