Hagley Hole-in-One

Step up, grab a club and see if you've got what it takes to sink the ultimate shot. Every ball you hit helps fund The Yarns Men – a local charity sparking good yarns and fostering connection for men.

How it Works:

Every session is run by a small team of Yarns Men volunteers. They're happy to talk you through the format, keep the queue moving, and have a yarn while you're lining up your shot.

All ages and skill levels welcome. Never picked up a club? We've got clubs on hand or bring your own if you've got a favourite. It's stand and swing, and the team will show you the ropes. Great for a family outing, a group of mates, a date, or just killing time in the park.

Behind the fun is a serious purpose.

26% of Kiwis feel unsocial or isolated.

22% say they've got no one to yarn with about personal problems.

The Yarns Men are changing that, creating spaces and events where men can connect. Every ball you hit fuels that mission.
