3–4 Hours. Morning or Afternoon Departure | Private Tour. Transport is provided from Kaikōura. All tours are private and personalised. Step into the past and discover one of Kaikōura’s hidden treasures - a magnificent tōtara tree estimated to be over 2,000 years old, standing deep within beautiful native forest. Choose from three options to suit different abilities, from an easier 4WD-accessed experience to a more adventurous walk with river crossings. Along the way, enjoy the sounds of native birds, discover unique plants and learn about the natural history of this special area. This is more than a walk - it’s a chance to slow down, connect with nature and experience a remarkable part of Kaikōura that few visitors get to see.

Special Conditions & Offers
All tours are private, with a maximum of 10 guests. Children are welcome and can be added to your booking. Local Kaikōura accommodation pick-up is available - please provide your accommodation details when booking. Wine tasting is available as an add-on for guests aged 18+. A pre-tour checklist must be completed before your tour. Please advise us of any dietary requirements, allergies or special requests when booking.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees are based on the number of days before the scheduled tour date that we receive your cancellation.
60+ days before departure: Full refund, less the non-refundable 20% booking deposit.
31–59 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
15–30 days before departure: 75% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
14 days or less before departure: 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
No-shows: 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
