Esses is New Zealand's only single vineyard sparkling estate. Esses specialises in sparkling wine made under full French method, Méthode Traditionnelle, the same process as Champagne. Esses wines are highly sought after by Michelin Restaurants.

Esses Estate operates by Appointment 7 Days a week, 11am-5pm. All year around. Bookings to book up in advance. We cannot guarantee walk-ins availability.
The Premium Tasting explores vintage and aged wine of Esses Estate, Kaikoura, Marlborough. The tasting will take you through the history of the vineyard, how Méthode Traditionnelle and other sparkling wines are made and a taste of three of Esses Estates Méthode Traditionnelles, including their ever-popular non-vintage, a choice of one of our vintage and an aged vintage. These are guided tastings. Tastings are by appointment only. Esses tasting are best suited to singles, couples, and small groups, who are interested in learning about sparkling wine. Children are welcome but tastings are limited to people over 18+. Anticipate approximately 45 minutes for the tasting.

Price is per person.
There is a $5 rebate on tasting fee for wine purchase.
Under New Zealand Liquor Licensing laws, intoxicated persons or minors will not be served

We appreciate things may change at the last minute. Cancellation is with 1 hours notice.
