Jet Boat World is a hands-on journey through jet boating history, told like nowhere else in New Zealand. Jet Boat World is part of Alpine Jet Thrills base located at Springfield Adventure Park in the very place where so much of the early development and experimental jet boating took place at Woodstock Beach on the Waimakariri River, here in Canterbury, New Zealand.
Jet Boat World has been established to protect and promote the cultural significance of New Zealand's role in introducing the jet boat to the world. See Bill Hamilton's last jet boat. Touch the first purpose built racing jet boat to break 100mph in New Zealand. Compare the old wooden boats and early centrifugal jet pumps to the modern aluminium and axial flow water jets.
Entry is $10 per adult or currently is free with a valid Alpine Jet Thrills booking. Donations to Jet Boat World Trust are gratefully accepted during this building phase. Refreshments and toilets available.
