Fishermans Bay is an idyllic garden filled with bright colours and varied textures. A series of garden areas offer differing planting themes, reflecting their New Zealand setting, sitting against breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and framed by the stark beauty of Banks Peninsula.
For garden lovers or anyone wanting to see a special part of the Peninsula while in the Akaroa area, this garden is a must visit.
Your hosts Jill and Richard Simpson have turned this farm garden in its rugged setting into a lush combination of flower beds natives and green lawns that still remember its traditional farm heritage. Native birds and wildlife abound reveling in the garden and the protected native forest below.
