Learn to surf at Sumner Beach, Christchurch, with Canterbury's dedicated surf school. We run group, private and women's surf lessons, school holiday programmes, youth surf camps, and school and corporate groups, for complete beginners through to improvers. Boards and full wetsuits are included, and our instructors are qualified and accredited. Sumner has long, gentle waves that make it one of the best beaches to learn to surf in Christchurch. Lessons run year round, seven days, for ages 4 and up. Part of the Aotearoa Surf family with 25 years of coaching experience.
