Lake Heron Cottage is found in the spectacular Canterbury high country. Situated on Lake Heron Station, the cottage provides the perfect setting for guests seeking a country getaway. The mountains, space, stars and lake provide a true sense of remoteness - yet we are only 2 hours drive from Christchurch. Station owners and hosts, Philip and Anne Todhunter, offer a warm welcome and are happy to share their unique environment. A stay at Lake Heron Cottage includes exclusive access to one of New Zealand's most beautiful high country stations. We offer bespoke farm tours and scenic flights, or the opportunity to hike, fish, 4WD & explore on your own. Meals are provided on request and are made with station produce & locally sourced ingredients.
