Canopy Camping Escapes | Tussock Ridge

Tussock Ridge is 30 minutes from Amberley and just one hour from Christchurch. The accommodation is simple but lovely. Two 'pods' sit on a deck, facing out to breathtaking views of the rolling countryside to the North East, the limestone escarpment to the East, and the Southern Alps to the West. The first pod is a bedroom, complete with a small wood burner and the second is a bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. Between the two is a small covered lean-to kitchenette where you can prepare your meals alfresco. The outdoor bath just beside the pods provides yet another beautiful place to soak up the view. Or walk up the landscaped steps to find two chairs with front-row seats to the often snow-capped Southern Alps.
