Terms & Conditions

1. The promoter of the giveaway is ChristchurchNZ, Level 3, 101 Cashel Street, Christchurch, 8011, New Zealand.
2. To be eligible, entrants must complete all fields in the online competition form housed on Formstack.
3. Entrants have the opportunity to opt into ChristchurchNZ's newsletter database. Their data will not be shared with third parties, and entrants can opt out of receiving newsletter updates at the time of entry or by unsubscribing at any time.
4. By entering this competition, the entrant agrees that ChristchurchNZ may collect their personal data. The data will only be used to contact the entrant directly if they are the winner, or add them to the ChristchurchNZ newsletter database, to send them communications about the latest happenings in Christchurch if they choose to opt in. Their data will not be shared with third parties, and entrants can opt out of receiving newsletter updates at the time of entry or by unsubscribing at any time.
5. The competition opens at 12pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026 and closes at 12pm Tuesday 15 September 2026. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
6. The competition is open to those who reside in New Zealand and are able to travel to Ōtautahi, Christchurch. Entrants must be aged 18 years or older and accompanied by another adult 18 years and over to be eligible.
7. People who reside in Ōtautahi, Christchurch and the Waitaha, Canterbury province are not eligible to enter.
8. Employees of ChristchurchNZ and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation of the competition are not eligible to enter.
9. Winners will be selected from all valid entries by ChristchurchNZ and at ChristchurchNZ’s discretion.
10. Winners will be drawn at random from eligible entries following the conclusion of the competition and notified by email or phone by 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2026.
11. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
12. Only one entry per person.
13. If a winner cannot be contacted by ChristchurchNZ within 12 hours of the notification, ChristchurchNZ reserves the right to re-select a replacement winner.
14. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
15. ChristchurchNZ reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition, including the prizes, and these terms and conditions without notice because of circumstances outside of ChristchurchNZ's control. Any changes to the competition will be notified via relevant competition posts as soon as possible by the promoter.
16. The prize giveaway is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. Prizes are not transferable.
17. Any additional costs incurred by the winner to redeem the prize(s), such as transport, food & beverage, room service, minibar, or any other surcharges which are not explicitly stated in the competition prize inclusions, remain the sole responsibility of the winner.
18. The winner is responsible for their own expenses in relation to any travel required to get to the departure destination or other associated costs with claiming or using the prize including but not limited to: accommodation, travel insurance, meals, spending money, visas/border entry requirements, ground transfer costs and any Government/airport levied taxes.
19. ChristchurchNZ reserves the right to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given or where an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner or otherwise than in accordance with these terms and conditions.
20. ChristchurchNZ’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final.
21. To the full extent permitted by law, ChristchurchNZ will not be liable to the winners in respect of any claim for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever (including, without limitation, any consequential, indirect special, punitive or incidental damages) or for any physical or mental injury suffered by the winner or accompanist as a result of in connection with the competition or by reason of the utilisation or application of any prize won in the competition.
22. Winners agree to the use of their name and image and/or details of their entry in publicity material. Personal data will be handled in accordance with New Zealand privacy legislation. Please refer to our privacy policy.
23. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social network. You are providing your information to ChristchurchNZ and not to any other party.
24. All prize elements offered are governed by the specific attraction or event's conditions of entry.
25. ChristchurchNZ and suppliers can change prizes at their discretion. ChristchurchNZ will endeavour to change prizes with suppliers to equal or greater value if it cannot be fulfilled.
26. One prize consisting of 2x return NZ domestic airfares on Air New Zealand to Christchurch (CHC) up to a maximum value per prize of $1,500 (NZD), as further detailed below (“Flights”). Conditions that apply to the Flights:
    • Flights must be booked by 01/10/2026. The Prize winner and companion must travel together.
    • Each passenger will receive 23kg checked baggage and an in-flight meal.
    • Flights must be requested via ChristchurchNZ.
    • Flights will be subject to Air New Zealand’s conditions of carriage and other conditions may apply.
