Washpen Falls is a favourite with incredible views of the Canterbury Plains – a popular two-hour round-trip family walk. Rakaia Gorge Walkway sidles dramatic blue water providing great photo spots. Allow an hour return to the viewpoint or 3-4 hours for the whole track. Up for a challenge? Take a scenic drive to Peak Hill.
