All ten Super Rugby Pacific teams will come together in round eight of the competition for a blockbuster weekend of rugby, entertainment and fan experiences.
Ōtautahi Christchurch is set to welcome Super Rugby Pacific Super Round back in 2027, following the resounding success of the city’s 2026 event. From Friday, 2 April to Sunday, 4 April 2027.
The weekend will kick off with the Crusaders taking on the ACT Brumbies. Saturday will feature a double header between the Chiefs and Western Force, followed by the Blues and NSW Waratahs. The Highlanders and Fijian Drua will kick off proceedings on the Sunday, with the Hurricanes and Queensland Reds providing the closing statement on what promises to be another epic weekend for fans.
The event will deliver three days of action on and off the field, allowing fans to get up close and personal with their favourite teams and players, while showcasing Christchurch as one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading sports and events destinations.
ChristchurchNZ, Super Rugby Pacific and the New Zealand Government today confirmed the event would return to Christchurch through a shared partnership, reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a host of major international sporting events and providing a welcome boost for the local visitor economy.
The partnership is supported by the New Zealand Government’s one-off Events Attraction Package. Together, the partners are focused on securing major events that create economic impact and give people compelling reasons to come together.
