Since graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Ilam School of Fine Arts in 2015, Mandy Joass has exhibited in more than 30 shows, including New Zealand Sculpture on Shore (2016/2018) and Waiheke Sculpture on the Gulf (2019).
Her practice has been shaped by a profound journey of reconnection with whakapapa, guided by the enduring presence of her kuia, Cherry Agnes Joass, and tūpuna wahine, Cecily Ruby Russell McManus- her paternal grandmother and great-grandmother.
