Dr. Rod Carr will be known to some of you as the inaugural chair of New Zealand’s Climate Change Commission, or possibly from his decade as Vice Chancellor of University of Canterbury. He has advised six different governments on education, health, financial regulation, monetary policy, the science system, infrastructure and resilience. He is a director of ASB bank and a trustee of the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust. Rod has completed 23 marathons including in North Korea, The Polar Circle and Antarctica. What you won’t find is Rod driving a car, he has been legally blind since birth.
