Orana Wildlife Park – Kids visit free

Two children (5 to 15 years) are free with each paying adult.

Orana is Aotearoa’s only open range zoo, providing amazing opportunities for people to connect with wildlife. Meet Aotearoa’s only gorillas, eyeball mighty rhino, hand feed majestic giraffe, observe kiwi and encounter mischievous kea.

With 12 scheduled presentations daily, visitors can enjoy the antics of meerkats, Tasmanian devils, friendly farmyard creatures, monkeys and much more! Visitors can board our Safari Shuttle for a tour of the zoo, join our walkabout guides or explore the park at their leisure.

Orana’s playground is fun for young and old, especially the 50m flying fox. Our wildlife-themed shop is stocked with fabulous gifts for any occasion (people can visit the shop without entering the zoo).

Orana relies on gate takings to operate. Park staff are proud to make genuine contributions to breed for release recovery programmes for New Zealand wildlife such as kākāriki karaka, Aotearoa’s rarest parakeet. By visiting the zoo, you are directly supporting our conservation work.
