Oceania MathsJam Gathering 2025

Oceania MathsJam Gathering (OMG for short) is an annual weekend get-together to share maths puzzles, games, insights, ideas, network and generally have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. We welcome all mathematical abilities and backgrounds, from uni students to teachers, the casually maths interested to recreational puzzlers, and professionals.

If you enjoy maths, OMG is for you!

There's something for everyone: maths problems and logic puzzles on tap all weekend, a keynote address, plus plenty of opportunities to share and explore your maths-y interests with informal workshop and display tables (from mathematical crochet to origami, Geogebra models to Monte Carlo simulations) and the 5-minute talk/breakout sessions for attendees (Open Mic Maths). There are several opt-in activities as well including a "Competition Competition" and Mathematical Bake-Off, a game of Countdown and even a mathemusical sing-a-long!

Come along and meet like-minded maths enthusiasts in the Oceania mathematics community. For the maths teachers: if you need a PD certificate of attendance, we can provide one.

Spaces limited - book today! Your registration entitles you admission to the entire event (9am Sat - 2pm Sun) including basic catering. On site accommodation is also available (extra fees apply - bookings subject to confirmation from the organisers).
