We welcome you to experience the rich history of the Malvern Hills through a guided tour of Glentunnel Museum or just take your time and explore our treasures at your own pace. Make a day of it by combining it with our Township Trail, exploring our built heritage.

View photos, memorabilia, exhibits of Homebush Brick and Pottery Works, coal mining, and family history to understand the lives of our early settlers.

The town was originally named Surveyors Gully but was renamed Glentunnel after the tramway tunnel in the glen that gave access to the Homebush coal mine. Find out about Glentunnel's history involving coal, clay and sand mines in the Malvern area.
