Qiao Yi (Hong De) Lion and Dragon Team is bringing our Lion and Dragon showcase to celebrate the Mooncake Festival again. There will be more performances presented by our friends and more fun activities.
This year we are holding the festival in conjunction with the Christchurch Heritage Festival so come and view the heritage display telling the evolving stories of the Chinese community in New Zealand.
We will be performing the eye dotting ceremony for our new dragon which will be followed by its first ever performance.
At the end of the show, we invite everyone to join in a lantern parade with our lions and dragon, bring your own lantern or get one on the day.
Limited numbers of moon cakes are available for sale.
