This auspicious occasion, recognised on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, marks the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated with immense joy and fervour by the Christchurch Bengali Community and people from all walks of life.
Our new Durga Puja venue is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of guests, has plenty of onsite designated free parking spaces, and is ideally situated in the centre of our beautiful city.
This is our 10th year of celebration, where we will unveil our new Maa Durga idol, which is a work of art all the way from India, complemented by wonderful decoration of Indian-Bengali culture.
We have planned the day with fun-filled activities, scrumptious lunch, multi-cultural extravaganza and celebration of true culture, heritage and togetherness.
Our unbeatable celebration is family-friendly. We welcome people from all walks of life.
