Experience the magic of Lake Tekapo’s night sky with Soak in the Stars, a 90-minute guided stargazing and hot pools tour at Tekapo Springs. Begin with an expert-led astronomy experience beneath the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, using high-powered telescopes to discover planets, stars, galaxies and southern sky wonders. Your guide shares fascinating astronomy, science and Māori star stories throughout. Then relax in an exclusive 37.5–38.5°C hot pool, floating beneath the stars while poolside storytelling continues. If weather limits telescope viewing, the tour continues indoors with an immersive VR journey through the Tekapo night sky, while the hot pool experience operates in all weather. Children must be 10+.
