Chester is a mid-roof Toyota Hiace with 1950s pop-art swagger and modern Kiwi know-how. Bold colour and stylised geometrics make him a rolling tribute to retro cool, ideal for couples or a small family chasing waterfalls and windswept beaches.
Every cabinet and cubby is purpose-built for life on the road. Three belted seats up front and a roomy bed sleep two adults plus one pint-sized adventurer. A ceiling fan keeps balmy nights comfortable, while a diesel heater and full insulation see you through the colder days. Cook up a feast on the pull-out gas hob and microwave, keep supplies cool in the 40-litre fridge, and slide out the alfresco table for a lakeside brunch. Rooftop solar and generous 40-litre water tanks let you linger off-grid, and a discreetly tucked-away toilet ticks the self-contained box.

Conditions
Quirky acts as agent for the campervan owner. Pay a 20% non-refundable deposit to confirm your booking; the balance is due 4 weeks before your trip. You'll choose an insurance 'Protection Plan' (Ready, Relaxed or Carefree), which sets your excess and security deposit. Bookings include unlimited kilometres, insurance and breakdown cover. Cancellation Policy
The 20% deposit is non-refundable (unless a replacement booking can be found for your dates). Cancel more than 4 weeks before your trip and we'll refund the remaining fee (if already paid).
