Matuka Lodge set in secluded surroundings only 3.5 kilometres from the lifestyle town of Twizel, gateway to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Conveniently placed on the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail route and by road almost exactly half way between Christchurch and Queenstown.
You’ll enjoy views across the private trout pond to the Southern Alps and the wider Mackenzie Country, so stunning it was used as the backdrop to the 'The Lord of the Rings' movie trilogy. After the sun sets in the evening the magic of Matuka Lodge continues as you look skyward and gaze upon the world renowned Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before arrival you will receive a full refund of monies paid.
If you cancel your booking within 30 days of arrival you will be charged the full value of your stay. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
