Canopy Camping Escapes | Matagouri Hut

The one-room tent-hut hybrid is set high up in a hidden spot on the property, surrounded by native trees and bush. A short 10-second stroll takes you to a deck platform with an outdoor bath and dining table - perfect for soaking up the glorious Banks Peninsula views. It's a unique little building - with the roof of the hut in canvas, solid walls forming the sides and large french doors creating a completely-glass sidewall. There is a feeling of being very much part of the natural surrounds.

The interior decor is simple and stylish with a peaceful ambience. The timber and natural colours and textures combine to create a beautiful space to relax. You'll see and hear lots of native birds including tui, wood pigeons, and bellbirds.
