Made For You Itinerary Builder Competition

Terms & Conditions

  1. The promoter of the giveaway is ChristchurchNZ, Level 3, 101 Cashel Street, Christchurch, 8011, New Zealand.
  2. To be eligible, entrants must complete all required fields and submit an entry via the Made For You itinerary builder, available at Christchurch International Airport and via the online version at www.christchurchnz.com/trip-planner.

Privacy and data use

  1. By entering this competition, the entrant agrees that ChristchurchNZ may collect and use their personal data. The data will only be used to contact the entrant directly if they are the winner, or add them to the Visit Ōtautahi Christchurch newsletter database, and to send them communications, if they choose to opt in. Entrants can opt out of receiving newsletter updates at the time of entry or by unsubscribing at any time.

Data sharing with Christchurch Airport

  1. Entrants may choose to consent to their personal information being shared with Christchurch Airport for research purposes. Christchurch Airport will not contact entrants directly as a result of this competition or any itinerary-building activity. If consent is not provided for the above purposes, personal information will not be used or shared in this way.

Data protection

  1. ChristchurchNZ will not share personal information with third parties without consent, except where required by law. All personal information will be held and processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and ChristchurchNZ’s Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

  1. The competition opens at midday on Wednesday, 1 July and closes at 5:00pm on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
  2. The competition is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia who are able to travel to Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand. Entrants must be aged 18 years or older.
  3. People who reside outside of New Zealand and Australia are not eligible to enter.
  4. Employees of ChristchurchNZ, Christchurch International Airport and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation of the competition are not eligible to enter.

Competition Mechanics

  1. Winners will be selected from all valid entries by ChristchurchNZ at its sole discretion.
  2. Winners will be drawn at random within 10 working days of the competition closing date (30 September 2026).
  3. Winners will be notified by email and/or phone shortly after the draw is completed.
  4. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
  5. If a winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours of notification, ChristchurchNZ reserves the right to select a replacement winner.
  6. No responsibility is accepted for entries not received for any reason.

Prize

  1. The prize is the opportunity to win an itinerary created using the Made For You itinerary builder, up to a total value of NZD $3,000, as determined and curated by ChristchurchNZ.
  2. Not all elements suggested or generated by the itinerary builder will necessarily be included in the final prize package. Flights, accommodation and some activities will be included in the final itinerary prize.
  3. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, and no cash alternative will be offered.
  4. Any additional costs incurred beyond the $3,000 prize value, or outside of the confirmed itinerary inclusions, remain the sole responsibility of the winner. This includes (but is not limited to) meals, room service, minibar, spending money, travel insurance, visas, and personal expenses.
  5. ChristchurchNZ reserves the right to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false, misleading, or fraudulent information has been provided.
  6. ChristchurchNZ’s decision in respect of all matters relating to the competition will be final.

Travel & Prize Conditions

  1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChristchurchNZ will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from participation in the competition or use of the prize.
  2. Winners agree to the use of their name, image, and/or entry details in promotional material. Any personal data will be used in accordance with New Zealand privacy legislation. Read more about the privacy policy.
  3. By entering the competition, winners agree to be photographed, filmed, and/or interviewed by ChristchurchNZ for promotional purposes.
  4. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social network. Entrants provide information to ChristchurchNZ and not to any third-party platform.
  5. If the prize cannot be accepted due to government travel restrictions, ChristchurchNZ will work with the winner to reschedule or reallocate the prize where possible; the prize may be forfeited.
  6. All prize elements are subject to the terms and conditions of individual suppliers.
  7. If an activity or experience cannot be undertaken due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, ChristchurchNZ will work with the winner to provide a suitable alternative of equal or similar value where possible.
  8. ChristchurchNZ and suppliers reserve the right to substitute elements of the prize with alternatives of equal or greater value if required.
  9. The prize must be booked and travel commenced within 12 months of prize acceptance, unless otherwise agreed in writing with ChristchurchNZ. Blackout periods may apply and will be confirmed to the winner when determining travel dates.
